Here's 5 Ways To Be Unshakable In Motherhood

Ok, Let's be real. Does motherhood sometimes feel like an identity theft in slow motion? One minute you're a vibrant, confident woman with dreams, the next you're "just a mom," buried under snacks and endless to-do lists.
The world tells us our worth is in our kids' achievements, our perfect home, or our social media aesthetic but those are shaky foundations, aren't they? One bad day, and suddenly, our entire sense of self feels wobbly.
As women of faith, we know there's more. We crave depth, purpose, and an unshakeable sense of self but how do we find it when life is pulling us in a million directions?
This isn't about ditching motherhood. It's about finding an anchor so strong, so deep, that no storm can move you. It's about reclaiming the REAL you – the GOD-DESIGNED you.

1: Daily Truth Infusion (Your Spiritual Caffeine!)
Replace the world's lies with God's truth, daily.
You wake up, grab your phone, and immediately get hit with social media comparisons or the day's anxieties.
Instead of scrolling social media first, scroll The Word. It's like spiritual caffeine for your soul!
What you consume first, shapes your entire day. God's Word reminds you who HE says you are.
Pick one verse about your identity in Christ (like Ephesians 2:10 – "For we are God’s handiwork...") and meditate on it. Write it on a sticky note. Say it out loud.
2: Speak Life (Your Words Have Superpower!)
Your words are powerful. Use them to declare God's truth over yourself.
You look in the mirror and hear negative self-talk or you're overwhelmed and say, "I can't do this!"
Stop the negative loop! Start speaking life. What you declare, you invite.
God created the world with words. Your words, aligned with His, can reshape your inner world.
Create "I AM" statements based on Scripture. "I am loved. I am chosen. I am capable through Christ." Say them in the mirror, in the car, while doing dishes. Get your kids to say them too!
3: Guard Your Gates (Spiritual Bouncers for Your Soul!)
Be intentional about what you let into your mind, eyes, and ears.
Mindlessly scrolling, watching shows that leave you feeling drained, or listening to gossip that pulls you down.
You are the gatekeeper of your soul! What you consume shapes you. Protect your peace.
Just like you wouldn't let just anyone into your home, don't let just anything into your spirit.
Do a "digital detox" for an hour, a day, or even a week. Notice the difference in your mental clarity and peace. Be discerning about your entertainment and who you spend your time with.
4: Serve from Overflow (Fill Your Cup First!)
When your identity is secure in Christ, you serve from a place of fullness, not depletion.
Feeling resentful because you're constantly giving, but your own cup is empty. Serving out of obligation or to earn worth.
God wants you full! When you know your worth in Him, you serve because you're overflowing with love, not because you're trying to earn it.
True purpose and joyful service flow from a secure identity. You can't pour from an empty cup.
Identify one area where you feel depleted. Ask God how He sees you in that area. Prioritize one thing this week that fills YOUR cup, knowing it allows you to serve better.
5: Find Your Sisterhood (No Mum Left Behind!)
You're not meant to do this alone. Surround yourself with women who speak life and truth.
Feeling isolated, comparing yourself to other mums, or struggling in silence.
Iron sharpens iron! Find your tribe, your fellowship, your circle of women who are also striving to become more.
Community provides encouragement, accountability, and a safe space to be real.
Reach out to a trusted friend or mentor. Join a small group. Join the Anavé Abode community. Share your struggles and triumphs. Be vulnerable.
Your Unshakeable Life Starts Now!
When your identity is rooted in Him, everything shifts. You parent from peace, not panic. You exude virtuous elegance. Your work becomes an act of worship. Your inner world is anchored, even when the outer world is chaotic.
This is an invitation to stop letting the world define you and start letting God redefine you.
Which of these 5 ways will you focus on this week? Pick one, commit to it, and watch God move! For more explore Anavé Magazine, Podcast, Courses, or Books.
